Internal Investigation Into Officer's Alleged Misconduct

An Erie police officer is being investigated for a misconduct allegation.
The incident happened on October 2nd, when the officer was doing traffic controls on the Erie Bayfront.
Erie police say the officer threw a flashlight, into a woman's open car window. The officer claims she nearly hit him with her car.
Erie's Police Chief referred the investigation to the District Attorney's office.
D.A. Jack Daneri tells us they conducted a thorough investigation, questioning witnesses, listening to recordings and looking at video.
Daneri says he decided not to file criminal charges on either end.
Erie's Police Chief says they're now wrapping up an internal investigation into the incident.
"We also implemented our own administration internal investigation from the Erie police department. We hope to have that done by this time tomorrow (Friday) with all the facts as we know them. And come to a conclusion as to what happened that night and the action we need to take." Said Chief Franklin.
Franklin says the investigation, should be wrapped up by the weekend.
