Barry Grossman Votes

The Democratic candidate for Erie County Executive, Barry Grossman said he has no regrets about his campaign for the county's top job. Grossman voted this afternoon at Fairview's Manchester Lodge. He said he was tired but confident he had done everything possible in the campaign. Grossman praised his opponent, Mike Kerner for running a positive, issues-oriented campaign and said he is proud he did not use any negative tactics. Grossman said, "We think we waged a good campaign. We got the message out about negative campaigning. We wanted to let people know it is destructive to democracy." Grossman lost in the Democratic primary for Erie Mayor to Joe Sinnott 4 years ago. He won the Democratic nomination for county executive this year by defeating incumbent Mark DiVecchio. Grossman will follow the returns tonight at the restaurant he owns in Erie.
