Democratic County Executive Candidate Barry Grossman relaxing over dinner after campaigning almost non stop since yesterday morning in this final push before election day. He says he has spent nearly $70,000 dollars in this campaign.
"I think we did everything right, we hit the tones and spent money wisely," said Grossman.
His Republican challenger Mike Kerner spending much less, he says he spent $3,000 dollars in this campaign.
Monday night, he was continyuing to do what he had done for months. Going door to door trying to get his message out.
"Ive been doing everything I have been doing all along, knocking on doors," said Kerner.
This years municipal elections expected to draw the voters. Interest in the County Executive race, Supervisor races in several communities as well as City Council and County Council races. Cathi Zelazny is the chair of the Democratic Party in Erie County.
"All the candidates realize that depending upon who gets out the vote, will depend upon the races, their particular races," said Zelazny.
At Republican headquarters they are also manning the phones calling thousands of registered voters urging them to vote Tuesday.
"Its suppossed to be 45 degrees and raining so we'll so how that effects turnout."
