Summit Township Fatal Accident

November 1, 2009, 10:02 pm

A Waterford man is dead after an early morning accident in Summit Township.  It happened around 2:30 this morning on Route 97, just south of Townhall Road.  23-year old Jonpaul Sandusky was driving south on 97 at a high rate of speed, when he lost control of his vehicle and struck a mailbox.  The car then rolled approximately 100 feet, before hitting a tree.  It then continued to roll another 85 feet, before hitting another tree.  Sandusky was pronounced dead at the scene by Erie County Deputy Coroner, Dennis Suscheck.  Sandusky was not wearing a seatbelt.
