Gannon University students, faculty, and staff are hoping to collect 8,000 pounds of food when the University participates in the Collegiate Golden Harvest Food Drive, to be held Saturday, Nov. 7. Gannon’s participants will work in two shifts: from approximately 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. The first shift will gather for a breakfast at 8 a.m. in the Yehl Room of Gannon’s Waldron Campus Center, 124 West 7th St. In total, about 300 students, faculty, and staff will go door-to-door collecting non-perishable food items in the City of Erie and in Millcreek Township. In addition, two drop zones will be set up: at the Second Harvest Food Bank, 1507 Grimm Drive, and at the Waldron Campus Center.
